Rowher Fire Breaks Out North Of Santa Clarita, Held To Five Acres
The Rowher Fire erupted Sunday evening north of Santa Clarita in the Angeles National Forest.
Update (6:40 p.m.): The Rowher Fire has been stopped at 4 acres, according to Angeles National Forest (ANF) officials.

Original Story: The brush fire, dubbed the Rowher Fire, was first reported to firefighters around 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Bouquet Canyon Road near Texas Canyon north of Santa Clarita, said Ed Pickett, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Canyon Country Containment Set Up After No-Bail Juvenile Suspect Runs From Deputies
A Canyon Country containment was established Monday morning after a juvenile no-bail robbery suspect fled from deputies before he was found and detained.
Around 9:15 a.m. Monday, a no-bail robbery suspect fled from deputies on Kimbrough Street in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies had set up a containment around the area as they searched for the suspect, according to Arriaga.
Around 9:35 a.m. the suspect was located underneath a vehicle near Bakerton Avenue and Fairweather Street, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Office are remembering their four fallen brothers who were gunned down 51 years ago Monday during the “Newhall Incident.”

Bobby Davis and Jack Twinning, the pair of career criminals, first came into contact in federal prison and reunited in Houston Texas after they were released. The pair decided to move out to the Los Angeles area, but struggled to find employment as a result of their criminal records.
Man Arrested On Felony DUI After Crashing Into Fire Hydrant, Injuring Passenger In Castaic
A felony DUI suspect was arrested Easter morning after he allegedly crashed into a fire hydrant in Castaic, injuring his passenger.
Around 4:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on Hillcrest Parkway near The Old Road in Castaic, said Officer Eric Priessman, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office.
The vehicle was traveling westbound on Hillcrest Parkway when it struck a fire hydrant, according to Priessman.
“(The suspect’s) female passenger sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result,” Priessman said.
Overturned Vehicle Crash Snarls Traffic In Newhall Pass
An overturned vehicle crash impacted traffic in the Newhall Pass Monday morning.
Just before 10 a.m. Monday, emergency responders received reports of an overturned vehicle crash near the I-5 and 14 Freeway interchange in the Newhall Pass, according to Leslie Lua with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“Our units responded to reports of a traffic collision with possible persons trapped,” Lua said. “There was a report that there was one vehicle overturned on the shoulder.”
No persons involved in the crash were transported to the hospital, according to Lua.
Traffic in the area was impacted due to the incident, travelers in the area should expect delays for the duration of the incident.
