Emergency services attended a house on Chatham Street, Leigh shortly after 3am on Thursday. Three fire engines were in attendance and crews spent nearly seven hours at the scene to deal with the blaze. A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman confirmed they are treating the fire as an arson. She said: Officers were called by GMFRS at around 3.40am on Thursday, May 27 to Chatham Street, Leigh to a report of a property on fire.
