Visitors will find a number of new businesses have opened during the pandemic while old favourites have proven stubbornly resilient in surviving to serve the downtown’s residential population.

“I’m impressed at the confidence in people and the desire to do something new downtown,” said Windsor Downtown Business Improvement Association president Brian Yeomans said.

THE partner of a Co Derry man killed in a motorcycle accident has issued a poignant tribute to her “sweetheart”.
Limavady father-of-two, Michael O’Doherty (38) died when his Kawasaki motorbike was involved in a collision on the outskirts of the Co Derry town on Saturday afternoon.
In a moving tribute to the victim, Mr O’Doherty’s fianceé Lynne Campbell said she had lost her “soulmate” and “sweetheart”.
In a social media post, Ms Campbell said: “Geraldine and Micky lost their son and Lana and Keith lost their brother. Kelly and Thomas lost their daddy. My Micky, I love you until the end of time.”

Hundreds of motorcyclists lined the streets of Derry to pay tribute to Gordon Corky Curry who died in a road crash earlier this week.
The family of Mr Curry, who was buried in Ballyoan Cemetery after a private funeral due to coronavirus restrictions, said the father-of-four from Tullyally was dearly loved and will be sadly missed .
Mr Curry, who is survived by partner Angela, children Melissa, Sarah, Katie and Cayden, mother Pearl and the wider family circle, was a member of The Shamrock Motorcycle Tourers.
Motorcyclists lined the street in tribute to him and drove down the Glenshane Road. Founder of the Tourers Kevin Breslin described him as a great man and really big hearted .

Tributes have been paid to the man killed in a road traffic collision in Derry yesterday.
Gordon Curry died when his motorcycle collided with a car at Glenshane Road near Altnagelvin Hopsital around 5.30am.
Mr Curry, who was in his 40s, was from the Tullyally area.
He is survived by his partner Angela, children Melissa, Sarah, Katie and Cayden, mother Pearl, stepfather Edwin and the wider family circle.
