Lights twinkle outside the house; inside, garland lines the fireplace and color-coordinated ornaments hang from the Christmas tree. Tables are crammed into the living room for dinner, awaiting the 25 members of the extended Cordero family. The place is always loud with laughter.

Funding secured for 20 immersive projects

Digital Catapult and Arts Council England have selected 20 ‘cultural experiences’ using extended reality immersive technology (XR) to receive funding, mentorship and technical support to “realise new forms of art, storytelling and entertainment.” The 20 experiences were revealed at the CreativeXR Showcase and Market at the beginning of this month, having been whittled down from 260 applications for the programme. CreativeXR is run by Digital Catapult and Arts Council England in partnership with StoryFutures Academy, with support from the BFI International and the Epic MegaGrants program.

(Photo by CHANDAN KHANNA/AFP via Getty Images) (CNSNews.com) – Dr. Moncef Slaoui, scientific head of Operation Warp Speed, told “Fox News Sunday” that it takes 75 or 80 percent of people vaccinated in the United States to establish herd immunity, something he anticipates will happen between May and June. “So we need to have immunized about 75 or 80% of the U.S. population before herd immunity can really be established. We hope to reach that point between the month of May and the month of June. It is however critical that most of the American people decide and accept to take the vaccine,” he said.
