The answer: a lot more than you may think. “We’re the economic stimulators,” said Maggy Kriebel, Director of the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission. “We’re the ones who bring in new money and that’s the key word—we bring in ‘new’ money to the community.” So, how does the tourism commission do that? Kriebel said there are a number of ways.

Police step up patrols in Sanders Park

There have been numerous reports of increased anti-social behaviour in the park via social media. These have included reports of intimidation and bullying by large groups of teenagers and underage drinking and smoking. In response police have been patrolling the park more regularly to watch out for any anti-social behaviour. Lee Page, safer neighbourhood inspector for Bromsgrove said: “We are aware of comments on social media from people concerned about anti-social behaviour in Sanders Park and I would encourage anyone who experiences this to report it to the police. Bromsgrove Safer Neighbourhood Team have stepped up patrols to provide additional reassurance to visitors.”
