At Saanich Peninsula Hospital, two more people a patient and a staff member have tested positive for COVID-19 in connection with an outbreak at the facility.
That brings the total number of cases to 11 patients and 11 staff members. There have been three deaths.
Testing has confirmed that the outbreak has been limited to acute-care areas of the hospital, and there have been no new sources of transmission since the declaration of the outbreak Dec. 1, the health authority said.
A total of 624 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in B.C. on Friday and 11 additional deaths. There have been 724 fatalities linked to the virus to date.

Island Health says two more people, a staff member and a patient, have tested positive for COVID-19 at Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
There are now 11 staff members and 11 patients at the hospital who have now tested positive for COVID-19.
Island Health also says there have been three virus-related deaths from COVID-19 at the hospital.
The health authority reports no new sources of transmission have been identified since the outbreak was declared on December 1.
The outbreak is limited to acute care areas where patients are being closely monitored for symptoms.

Yet again, the new case count and number of deaths remain at high levels, as has been seen for most of this week.
There s news and updates on several outbreaks, including at a Trans Canada pipeline worksite, a ski resort in Kelowna, and food-processing plants in the Lower Mainland.
In addition, low-intensity physical activity in groups such as classes for yoga, pilates, and tai chi can begin again indoors under revised public health guidelines.
