On Tuesday, Premier Jason Kenney announced new measures to halt a surging third wave of COVID-19 infections that include closing outdoor patios, leaving bars and restaurants with the sole fallback of takeout and delivery for at least the next three weeks.
With the expected dramatic acceleration of vaccinations this month, “my hope is if people really get the message, this can be the short-term, last-time set of health restrictions and those businesses can get back hopefully to a decent summer,” Kenney said during a news conference Wednesday.
Tait appointed to Rural Fire District 1 Board
Havre Daily News Staff At the Hill County Commission’s weekly business meeting Courtney Tait was appointed to the Board of Rural Fire District 1. Hill County Commissioner Diane McLean said another person has filed to run for another seat on the board via election and is currently unopposed, leaving one empty seat on the board.
