By MLF Communications Staff The second event in the MLF Bass Pro Tour s 2021 regular season takes place beginning today at Lake Travis near Austin, Texas. The 6-day event will feature 80 anglers competing for a top payout of $100,000.
For the first time since March 2020, fans are encouraged to attend all of the happenings surrounding the event. Anglers will take off from the Mansfield Dam Park, located at 4370 Mansfield Dam Park Road in Austin, at 6:30 a.m. CT each morning. Each days takeout will also be held at the park beginning at 3:30 p.m. Fans are also encouraged to follow the event online throughout the day on the MLF NOW! livestream and ScoreTracker coverage at MajorLeagueFishing.com.

AUSTIN, Texas (April 21, 2021) – Major League Fishing (MLF), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, is set to visit Austin next week, April 30-May 5, for the second regular-season tournament of the 2021 Bass Pro Tour season – the Berkley Stage Two at Lake Travis Presented by Mercury. The six-day event, hosted by the Austin Sports Commission , will feature 80 of the best professional anglers in the world – including superstars like Kevin VanDam, Ott DeFoe, Jordan Lee and Jacob Wheeler – competing for a top payout of $100,000 and valuable points in hopes of qualifying for REDCREST 2022, the Bass Pro Tour championship.

By MLF Communications Staff Jacob Wheeler boated a 7 1/2-pound largemouth Tuesday afternoon on Shearon Harris Reservoir, the largest fish of the day, to win $50,000 at the Major League Fishing Heavy Hitters event in Raleigh, N.C. Wheeler finished the Knockout Round in 2nd place and punched his ticket sraight to Wednesdays Championship Round.
50 Gs, heck yeah, that is unreal, Wheeler said in his post-game interview. That will be a fish that I remember for the rest of my life. I was cruising down the bank and when I saw that fish, I literally stopped and was like Whoa, thats a $50,000 bass.

A stressful day for Bryan Thrift had a happy conclusion as he caught enough weight to win the Group B Qualifying Round at the MLF Heavy Hitters event in North Carolina.
By MLF Communications Staff Bryan Thrift caught five scorable bass totaling 17-15 to win the two-day Group B Qualifying Round at the MLF Heavy Hitters event in Raleigh, N.C. Thrifts two-day total of 18 bass weighing 62-06 earned him the round win by an 11-14 margin and advances him straight into Wednesdays Championship Round of competition.

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 11, 2021) – The Major League Fishing (MLF) General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops event certainly lived up to it’s billing, Sunday, as the best bass anglers in the world caught numerous big fish throughout the day on Jordan Lake that made for a very exciting broadcast for fishing fans. After the last fish had been tallied, pro Fletcher Shryock of Guntersville, Alabama , earned the Group A Qualifying Round victory, catching a two-day total of 23 bass weighing 88 pounds, 13 ounces, and punching his ticket directly into Wednesday’s Championship Round.
