423 deaths due to Covid19 in mere 32 days is, no doubt, quite scary. In fact the number of Covid deaths has shot up in the first two days of May; 78 deaths till the afternoon of 2nd May. But, in reality, it is not as scary as it sounds, except Bardez taluka, which has now become the hub of the pandemic.
The recovery rate is almost 98 per cent while the death rate varies between little over two per cent in Bardez to merely 0.38 per cent in Sattari.
As per the Covid19 bulletin released yesterday by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Goa right now has 24,194 active Covid19 cases while the deadly virus has taken a toll of only 423, though these were also our precious lives.
