Joe Mazzola, the Deputy Manager of the U.S. Army Corps’ Canal Field office has a pretty simple explanation: the work has been going on, just where commuters can’t see.
That all changes today when Mazzola says workers will be back on top of the bridge in plain sight

Route 6A in Sandwich looked more like a parking lot than a roadway on Tuesday afternoon, April 20 as traffic heading off-Cape inched toward the Sagamore Bridge, which is narrowed for repairs.
Residents who live along Town Neck Beach believe that gridlock is what is to come in their neighborhood when Tree House Brewery opens this summer.
âTree House will be open from 7 AM to 11 PM, will have a beer distribution site, food trucks, a beer garden and a brewery on less than a half-acre of land,â said a woman who lives in a nearby house. âAnd thereâs only one way in and out of this area.â

Patriots’ Day 2021 is Monday, April 19. The holiday commemorates the 246th anniversary of the opening battles of the American Revolution at Lexington and Concord.
Patriots’ Day is a state holiday in Massachusetts, Maine (which was a part of the Bay State until the early 19th century) and Wisconsin. Starting in 2018, Patriots’ Day became a holiday in Connecticut. Then-Gov. Dannel Malloy signed a bill in 2017 establishing the unpaid state holiday.
