(MENAFN - Kashmir Observer) KO Photos by Abid Bhat SRINAGAR- The Chief Executive Officer, Srinagar Smart City, Limited, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary who is holding the additional charge of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Tuesday inaugurated two day long Fine Arts Exhibition here at TRC today.
The exhibition is being organized by Srinagar Smart City Limited in collaboration with Department of Tourism, Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shahid said that the initiative is aimed to revive the rich heritage of the region, besides providing a platform to young and budding artists of the Valley to showcase their talent. He lauded the efforts of the Department of Tourism for the support and said a platform like this was needed to bring young artists under one umbrella and boost their morale.

Taking on the Opposition, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Kailash Choudhary on Tuesday said those who are terming the new agri laws as black laws should remember that bringing the legislations was part of their manifesto.
Making an intervention during the motion of thanks on the President s address in Lok Sabha, he said the Opposition should not mislead farmers on these reformist measures.
Farmers got raw deal for the past 70 years as previous governments did nothing for them, Choudhary said.
With regard to contract farming, he said farmers are permitted to decide the rate rather than the contractor.

NEW DELHI: Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowhdury, on Tuesday alleged that former army chief General VK Singh’s statements on the Line of Actual Control had “aided the Chinese” in launching an attack on India.
On Tuesday, Chowdhury demanded in Lok Sabha that the government should either issue a strong rebuttal against Singh’s statement, or explain what the General said and how it affects India’s position.
He was joined in his protest by party leader Rahul Gandhi, who tweeted on Tuesday that not sacking VK Singh would be an “insult” to every Jawan. “Why is a BJP minister helping China make a case against India? He should’ve been sacked. Not sacking him means insulting every Indian Jawan”, Rahul tweeted on Tuesday, attaching a link of a news report that said Singh’s remarks on LAC “counters India position”.
