BURLINGTON, N.J. - A Lower Southampton police officer found a new partner and his best bud after a Burlington County animal rescue linked up with a foundation that trains shelter dogs as service animals.
Arrow, a young Belgian Malinois, was surrendered to Burlington County Animal Shelter in February of 2020 and had trouble finding a forever home due to his high energy, according to shelter attendant Debbie Bucci.

SOUTHAMPTON One year during the holiday season, Don Puza, owner of Puza’s Pure Food Market, learned that a customer had no family members to help her put up Christmas decorations. Puza immediately stepped up to help, said Vicky Puza-Allen, his daughter.
“My father came home and said, ‘We’re all going over to her house and putting her Christmas decorations up,” Puza-Allen recalled.

Hampden Police Chief Jeff Farnsworth resigns to assume new post

HAMPDEN After nearly 30 years with the town’s police force, Hampden Police Chief Jeff Farnsworth has resigned to accept a new position.
In a Dec. 17 letter to town officials, Farnsworth provided a 30-day notice of his resignation in accordance with his contract with the town. His last day with the Hampden Police Department will be Saturday, Jan. 16.
Farnsworth confirmed his resignation, but said he could not speak to his new position until the organization released an official announcement.
Farnsworth has served as chief since 2006. His police career began in 1986 as a patrol officer in Southampton Police Department. He transferred to Hampden Police Department in 1992.
