Ighalo s Man Utd loan ended last year
Ighalo, 31, returned to China but has now gone to the Middle East for his latest adventure.
Al Shabab sit top of the Saudi Professional League with half the season gone.
And they hope Ighalo can fire them to their first title since 2012.
The Nigerian ace scored five times during his Old Trafford loan.
Ighalo posted a farewell message on Instagram saying ‘Thank you’ in Chinese to his former employers, though it is doubtless Old Trafford which he is most disappointed to be leaving behind.
He recently posted a heartfelt goodbye message describing his move to United as “a dream” and “an honour I will forever cherish”.
Plenty questioned his signing when he was brought in on loan at the end of the January transfer window last year but he made an instant impact, scoring in wins in the FA Cup and Europa League.
He finished with five goals in 23 appearances for United but fell out of favour after the arrival of Edinson Cavani, with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford also ahead of him in the pecking order for the central striking position.

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have tonight confirmed the loan signing of striker Mitchell Duke for the remainder of the A-League 2020/21 season.
The Duke of Western Sydney returns to his hometown club on loan from Saudi Professional League side Al-Taawoun where he featured in 12 matches.
Duke joined the Wanderers back in January 2019 and made an immediate impact on his arrival, scoring on debut and going on to represent the club in an inspirational manner.
The striker had one of his career-best seasons with the Red & Black, captaining the side and scoring 14 goals in 26 games before securing a move to the Saudi Arabian side at the end of the A-League 2019/20 season.
