The 2020 season will forever be remembered for the group of breakout stars that took Gators fans on a magical journey that ended just six points shy of the programâs first SEC title in a dozen years.
Prior to last fall, some wondered if the Gators were wasting their time by trying to involve Kadarius Toney in the offense more. He spent his first three seasons wowing with his ability to turn anything into an explosive play and frustrating with his inability to catch the ball within the normal flow of the offense and his tendency to turn bad plays into horrible ones by dancing around in the backfield.

This reliance on collaboration with coach Matt Nagy by Bears general manager Ryan Pace could not take place during a better NFL Draft than this one.
When left to his own devices, Pace produced Mitchell Trubisky, Kevin White, Adam Shaheen, Jonathan Bullard and Hroniss Grasu in the draft s first two days.
He had a few successes during that same period, like Eddie Goldman and Cody Whitehair. By and large, wins came sporadically.
It s obvious in this draft the Bears need a cornerback, a wide receiver, at least one tackle and a long-term answer at quarterback.
Other minor needs can be filled later in the draft, but it s safe to say the four key need positions are not exactly in Pace s wheelhouse based on past drafts.

The Chicago Bears had quite a few needs entering this offseason, and they’ve addressed some of them. They added a quarterback, even though it wasn’t the player the fan base wanted. They brought back Germain Ifedi and Alex Bars to boost depth on the offensive line, and Damien Williams was added to the backfield. Most importantly, Cairo Santos, Pat O’Donnell, and Patrick Scales were brought back to keep the Bears’ field goal unit intact the Bears need all the advantages they can get when it comes to the kicking game.

New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore won the NFL Defensive Rookie of Year as the 11th overall selection in the 2017 draft out of Ohio State. Since his standout rookie campaign, Lattimore has made three Pro Bowls and established himself as one of the NFL s best defensive backs.
Free safety Marcus Williams was added alongside Lattimore in the 2nd round of the 2017 draft. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson turned out to be a draft steal with a 4th round pick in 2019. These three made up one of the league s better secondaries in 2020. However, the Saints released veteran CB Janoris Jenkins in a salary cap move, and 13-year veteran S Malcolm Jenkins turns 34 in December.
