Police gave away more than 100 stolen bikes to NHS staff. Photos: Met Police More than 100 stolen bicycles have been handed out to NHS staff after there owners failed to come forward. The bikes had been confiscated by the Met Police from criminals, however the force had been unable to return them to their rightful owners. The Police teamed up with bicycle charity Pro Bike Service CIC to arrange an event for the stolen bicycles to be given to NHS staff. Staff at Barts Health NHS Trust – which runs Whipps Cross Hospital – were invited to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford this week where over 100 bikes were handed out.

NHS staff reject 1 per cent pay rise outside St Thomasâ Hospital yesterday morning â they demand 15 per cent
PROTESTS took place outside hospitals yesterday morning after the call by unions to turn April 1st into a day of action for NHS staff Pay.
Teams of WRP and YS organised mass leafleting of hospitals at 7am as doctors, nurses and NHS staff went in to work.
The leaflet demanded: âReject 1%. 15% pay rise for all NHS workers. TUC call a general strike to win this fight!â
Over 60 people demonstrated outside St Thomasâs Hospital on W estminster Bridge Road, largely made up of staff who had just finished their night shift. They were joined by a delegation of RMT members from London Underground.
