THE FOLLOWING cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court. CHRISTOPHER JOHN CLARK, 45, of Coxford Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Remanded on bail. Sentencing adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. JUSTAS PORAKIS, 35, of Park Walk, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Sentencing adjourned to consider if there are special reasons for not ordering an endorsement or disqualification. PETER REDMAN, 75, of Winchester Street, Botley. Found guilty of fraud. IN THE COURTS: 13 people who have appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court
The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court. PATRICK JAMES MICHAEL CLOTHIER, 24, of Copinger Close, Totton. Found guilty of harassment. Remanded in custody. Sentencing adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. ANTHONY CHARLES LAMBERT, 58, of Burgess Road, Southampton. Found guilty of two counts of sexual assault. Remanded on bail. Sentencing adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. LEON ANTHONY DICKENSm 44, of Hillside, Blackfield. Proved guilty of using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress. Fined £450. Must pay £45 victim surcharge and £620 court costs.

EVER wondered what crimes are being committed near you? The latest figures from Data.Police.UK has revealed that Nessus Street in Portsmouth and Haltons Close in the New Forest were the top hotspots for crime in April. The data shows out of the 14,993 crimes recorded in Hampshire (excluding the Isle of Wight), the most reported type of crime was categorised as ‘violence and sexual offences’ with 5,304 incidents. Anti-social behaviour was the second most reported crime with 3,124 incidents and a total of 1,612 public order crimes were recorded. At the bottom of the scale was theft from a person which received 50 reports.
