50 Centrecently relocated from New York to Houston, Texas and the hip-hop entrepreneur couldn t have gotten a warmer, more fitting welcome. On Saturday (May 8), 50 (born Curtis Jackson), had the welcome mat rolled out via a big win at the 2021 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when he scored Reserve Grand Champion Best of Show at the Rodeo s International Wine Competition for his champagne, Le Chemin du Roi.
The rapper celebrated the win in the auction in a tweet, where he wrote, Last Auction of the Night - 2021 @RODEOHOUSTON Charity Wine Auction - 3 of @lecheminduroi Raised $360k - Record - Thats what you call a Texas Sized Green Light Gang. In a video of the sale, a cowboy walks around with the magnum of champagne and calls out the winning bid after 50, rocking a black cowboy hat, makes an early, losing six-figure bid.

The legendary rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, did the most Houston thing ever this weekend when his champagne was named Reserve Grand Champion Best of Show at the 2021 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition.
Le Chemin Du Roi Brut, Champagne AOC, NV, was launched by Jackson. It was purchased at the event for $160,000.
“When they told me I won, I almost fainted. I was really excited,” Jackson said. “I am very proud of this.”

HOUSTON – 50 Cent is off to a good start during his first weekend in H-Town.
His champagne, Le Chemin Du Roi Brut, won an award for Reserve Grand Champion Best in Show during last weekend’s 2021 Rodeo Uncorked international wine competition. The champagne was purchased at the event for $160,000.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, said in a statement he “almost fainted” when he found out he won.
