March 7, 2021 Izah Azahari Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman launched the 17 th International School Brunei Borneo Global Issues Conference (ISB BGIC) at the International Convention Centre (ICC) yesterday. Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness as the Royal Patron of the conference was welcomed to the venue by Chairman of ISB Board of Directors Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa and ISB Executive Principal Laura Thomas. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, as well as invited foreign dignitaries, school officials and student representatives were also present.

Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman highlighted this in a sabda during the launch of the 17th ISB BGIC 2021 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) on Saturday. March 6, 2021 Rokiah Mahmud Student-delegates are debating on resolutions to address inequalities based on gender, race and education at the 17 th International School Brunei Borneo Global Issues Conference (ISB BGIC). The conference attended by 300 delegates from 22 schools began yesterday and will continue until March 8 at the International Convention Centre. The conference focussed on 10 th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG10) – Reduced Inequalities. Inequalities based on race, gender and education has worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic, said a statement from ISB BGIC. This had led to deepening gaps in wealth, opportunities, accessibilities and a range of other societal measures. The delegates had a month to prepare and research on these topics to be addressed during the conference.
