And once again, the same old question arises. Did our ‘indefatigable protector of the unborn child’ ever object to that reasoning, at any point of his two-year term as European Health Commissioner? And if not… does he object to it now?

I was wondering how long it would take former Health Minister (and European Health Commissioner) Dr Tonio Borg to finally weigh in on the ongoing abortion debate, triggered by Marlene Farrugia’s private member’s bill last week.
As it happens, we didn’t have to wait too long. Last Friday, The Times carried a hard-hitting opinion piece, entitled ‘A despicable abortion bill’, in which the former European Commissioner lashed out at both Marlene and Godfrey Farrugia over their “surprising, not to say hypocritical,” U-turn.

A German court has upheld a ban on silent prayer gatherings near organizations that promote abortion, dismissing a prayer leaderâs challenge to have the vigil restrictions lifted.
In 2019, a chapter of the global pro-life organization 40 Days for Life was banned from holding prayer vigils near the Pro Familia in Pforzheim, which is the German affiliate of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, a multi-billion dollar abortion organization.

I’d like to encourage everyone who reads this to please look up on Google or YouTube the 1838 Lyceum Address by Abraham Lincoln. It was written 23 years before the Civil War. Similar to today, tensions were high, and there was much unease.
Lincoln warned the nation of immense harm that would prevail if we “the people” permit it. Very similar to today, mobs were what some thought was an adequate way of change.
