PK Halder put his men at helm of NBFIs, took out loans for his firms that existed only on paper Proshanta Kumar Halder alias PK Halder had played tricks on four non-bank financial institutions in such a way that no one could suspect anything before around Tk 10,000 crore were siphoned from those. Halder put his men at the helm of the financial institutions so that he could easily take loans from those and misappropriate the funds. This was stated in a confessional statement by Uzzal Kumar Nandi, chairman of People s Leasing and Financial Services (PLFS), one of the four financial institutions defrauded by Halder.
