Churches in England and Wales have been awarded 400,000 pounds in funding to delve into the relationship between science and faith.
22 churches have received a grant of up to 20,000 pounds each to spend over the next 18 months.
The churches will host a range of outreach activities, building on the expertise of scientists within their congregations.
They will focus on topics ranging from mental health to climate issues, with the aim of showing how engaging with science can lead to a deeper experience of faith.
A spokesman has told Premier News, they want to break down some of the fear that exists between science and faith.

Tursunay Ziyawudun addressed the International Religious Freedom Summit on Wednesday, one of several survivors of religious persecution to share their stories. As a Uyghur living in China, she was subject to especially harsh treatment from the Chinese Communist Party, which is detaining members of the ethnic minority in concentration camps in an effort to strip them of their culture and identity and turn them into loyal servants of the state.
