A magistrate has told a mother she must get counselling after she blew six times the blood-alcohol limit and then refused to get out of her car.
Prosecutor Sergeant Marcus Hahn told Sarina Magistrates Court a motorcycle rider had reported a person swerving and driving dangerously in Sarina about 1.30pm on November 11.
Sgt Hahn said police arrived at Sarina Beach Rd to find the rider had parked in Janelle Anne Luke’s vehicle to prevent her from driving any further.
“(Police) described her to be unstable on her feet, unable to stand unaided, leaning against the vehicle for balance (and) they could smell a strong smell of liquor,” Sgt Hahn said.
He said while Ms Forster’s company complied with a request to leave about 1.50am, she refused and continued arguing with staff, after which a witness flagged down police.
“While (Forster) was still in the venue, she has told staff that she was a police officer and that she knew the law and they had to tell her why she had to leave,” Sgt Hahn said.
“Police have then approached (Forster) and had her exit the venue.
“While police were talking with (Forster) and attempting to confirm her identity, (Forster) has again stated, ‘I’m actually a cop’ and refused to state her name.
