KUCHING, 5 April 2021: Sarawak Tourism Board launched its
‘Sia Sitok Sarawak’ version 2.0 Intra-State Tourism Campaign late last week to continue boosting the state’s tourism efforts and build awareness.
The campaign runs until 31 October 2021 and focusing on
giving Sarawakians, residents and foreigners with work permits residing in the
state of Sarawak discounts of up to 50% on tour packages explore Kuching, Miri,
Sibu, Mulu, Bintulu, Bario and Mukah.
The campaign offers the best available prices on day trips
as well as full board multiple day trips, including meals and accommodation to
encourage residents to rediscover the tourism assets of Sarawak state.
STB Chief Executive Office Puan Sharzede Datu Haji Salleh Askor said: “We are truly excited for version 2 of the
Miri Sunset Cruise, when international tourists return to Malaysia later this year.
For the present, the four-hour sail to no-where is being
enjoyed by domestic travellers and residents of Malaysia who are able to visit
Sarawak and explore Miri.
Sunset cruises explore the coastal waters of the South China
Sea, providing guests with spectacular views of Miri’s coast and forested
landscapes.
The cruise package is ideal for corporate and incentive
groups visiting Miri. Snacks and drinks
served on board during the four-hour cruise, and there even an opportunity to
try your hand at fishing.
The cruises depart at 1600 from the Miri River estuary to the open sea, passing the ‘Water Village’
KUCHING, 9 March 2021: Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) today joined the opening business sessions of ITB Berlin NOW the first-ever virtual trade fair in the long history of ITB shows.
Held annually in Berlin, Germany, ITB Berlin is the world’s largest travel trade fair usually attracts 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries. The virtual event has around 3,000 exhibitors signed up.
By participating in this marketing virtual event, STB hopes to build awareness with travel trade buyers in European markets and to maintain Sarawak’s visibility worldwide in readiness for the end of the pandemic.
ITB Berlin NOW will continue until 12 March with Sarawak delegates participating virtually 1700 to 2400 based at the Waterfront Hotel Kuching (CET 1300 to 1800).
