Witham: Work to begin on 150 home development off Conrad Road | Braintree and Witham Times

WORK will soon begin on a new housing development which will bring 150 homes to Witham. The properties at the Southfields site, on Conrad Road, will include apartments, bungalows and two to five-bedroomed houses. Constructed by Sanctuary Homes, the houses will be offered for sale, shared ownership and affordable rent. The community is also set to benefit from Sanctuary s MORE! programme, which sees the team work alongside development partners to support community projects by donating skills, resources and equipment. The properties will be delivered in five phases between the end of 2022 and summer 2023. The project will also feature a designated walking route around a wetland area.

Award-winning Inverclyde Shed team set sights on a busy 2021

A VITAL community hub which helped to reduce isolation and loneliness in 2020 is set to support even more people this year. The team at Inverclyde Shed got involved in a myriad of eco-focused activities in communities across the district last year. Shed members didn t let the coronavirus pandemic stop them from keeping in touch and working on lots of different initiatives. From building orchards and setting up a digital shed, to delivering vegetables to the elderly and creating a remembrance garden, the team s dedication made life better for hundreds of people. Chairman Bruce Newlands says the Shed - crowned Scottish Men s Shed Association Shed of the Year in October - is a community where people can be comfortable and share their interests.

Homes developer delivers hundreds of festive treats to Blacon children

DEVELOPER Sanctuary Homes has delivered some early festive treats for hundreds of young people in Blacon. Sanctuary Homes is currently creating 16 new affordable apartments, a GP surgery and health centre on land next to the existing Parade Enterprise Centre, which is managed by Avenue Services. As part of its commitment to supporting local community projects through the MORE! programme, members of the construction team took time out to deliver hundreds of festive selection boxes to Blacon Adventure Playground. Head of construction, Neil Ruecroft, and senior development manager, Danielle Wrigley, donned their Christmas jumpers to deliver the goodies to the playground, which is owned and managed by Avenue Services.
