WARREN The city’s utilities department is investigating the cause of water entering the basement walls of the Robins Theatre, 160 E. Market St.
The department received a call from theater maintenance personnel about 6:30 a.m. Thursday, saying water was flowing from its walls onto the floors.
“We were told that the theater’s basement sump pump has been running continuously for several days, but they did not report there was a problem because they thought it it was due to the weather,” city Utilities Director Franco Lucarelli said. “Upon investigation, we believe the running water is because of a leak.”
