Mediapolis, Ia- A Mediapolis man has been charged with two additional counts of burglary following a search warrant conducted in a local residence. According to a news release, the Des Moines County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant at 411 North Street in Mediapolis Monday. The search warrant was part of an ongoing burglary investigation into several Mediapolis businesses being broken into during the previous weekend. During the search, deputies located several stolen items identified as having been stolen from McLaughlin's Freight Services at 602 Main Street and 604 Main Street in Mediapolis. As a result of the search, 30-year-old Tyler Johnson of Mediapolis, who had been arrested Saturday on burglary charges, was charged with two additional counts of 3rd Degree Burglary.
