Kroger donates 4,750 water cases to flood victims in Eastern Kentucky

WINCHESTER, Ky. (LEX 18) â Relief efforts for Eastern Kentuckyâs flood victims are currently underway.
Kroger Co. delivered 4,752 cases of bottled water to Godâs Pantry Food Bank in Winchester where trucks are being loaded with donations for those impacted by flooding in Lee, Estill, Breathitt, and Powell counties.
âThese are our associates. These are our customers. These are our neighbors. We just knew we had to step up and make sure our communities had what they needed to get through this event,â said Kroger Co. Corporate Affairs Manager Erin Grant.

WHILE the outbreak of Covd-19 has put ice on many festive traditions this year, it has failed to stop members of the Carrosyl Community Association in
Lisnaskea from offering a helping hand to those who need it most this Christmas.
The community group, which is based right in the heart of Carrowshee Park and Sylvan Hill, called on fellow residents and the wider Lisnaskea community to take part in their foodbank appeal, in support of local families.
“2020 has been a hard year in many ways for lots of people,” explained Carrosyl youth worker, Jackie Mullan.
