FDA director-general Eric Domingo told lawmakers in the House of Representatives that the agency is already exploring the possibilities to expand the list of its drug products under emergency use (DEU) amid the pandemic.
“Actually pinalawak na nga namin to living guidelines para mas maraming grupo na [ang] gumagawa…para pwede po nilang maisama doon sa living guidelines at maaral para ma-increase natin sa DEU (we have expanded our living guideline to include more groups…so they could include it and study the living guidelines to increase DEU),” Domingo said during the virtual hearing the House committee on good government and public public accountability.

Attending a webinar last Monday, April 12, Valenciano said he is weighing the advantages and disadvantages of taking the drug amid debates on its use for COVID-19 treatment and prevention.
He said his wife, Angeli Pangilinan, is also taking Ivermectin. Pangilinan had tested positive for COVID-19 last March.
“I’m trying to stay heaIthy, because the vaccine is not yet with me. I can get some Ivermectin I think my wife has some but I was always weighing the pros and cons and I’m thankful that everybody asks the questions that needed to be asked, ’cause it kinda settled and answered some of the questions I didn’t even have in mind initially,” Valenciano said.
