This interactive class doubles as a culinary tour and invites guests to recreate some of the region’s most fragrant and sumptuous dishes. The first class is scheduled for Aug. 6 from 6 p.m to 9 p.m.
Class menu items include Shoya Ramen, Chinese Pork Dumplings, Korean Bibimbap, Vietnamese Basil Rolls and Thai-Style Chicken with Massaman Curry.
Spaces are limited to 16 guests at $99 per person, but private classes can also be arranged.
The new Grand Tour series of classes were designed to give locals and tourists a taste of international cuisine. Daniel Herget, Executive Chef at The Mansion on Forsyth Park, said, “I think we all missed out on a lot of travel this past year and a half, these Grand Tour classes are a way to experience different cuisines and cultures for right here in Savannah.”
The Mansion on Forsyth Park - Savannah s most elegant destination - is pleased to welcome hospitality industry veteran Jeff DeBoissiere as the hotel s new Director of Food and Beverage. In his new position, DeBoissiere oversees all food and beverage operations at 700 Drayton restaurant, 700 Kitchen Cooking School and Bösendorfer Lounge as well as banquets, catering, afternoon tea and special events at the popular Kessler Collection property.
An accomplished, award-winning food and beverage professional, DeBoissiere brings more than a decade of experience to his position at The Mansion on Forsyth Park. The Mansion on Forsyth is offering an opportunity to celebrate moms with a little bit of quality time and a lot of quality food through their 700 Kitchen Cooking School’s Mother’s Day class on May 9, plus ongoing classes every week.
Participants can join Chef Jason Winn for an intimate culinary experience and maybe even learn something along the way.
Winn, originally from Dallas, Texas, has been working as an executive chef for over 20 years and began teaching classes at the Mansion in 2019. “My mom is a retired school teacher and my dad was a college professor so I guess you could say it’s in my blood,” Winn said.
