Libertyville farmers market begins the season on Thursday
The 41st annual Libertyville Farmers Market will open for the season on Thursday, June 3.
The market will be located in Cook Park and on West Church Street downtown and held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 21.
Farmers markets have been deemed an essential business and may operate under an executive order from the governor. Guidelines will be in place.

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts announced during his last news COVID-19 news conference he signed an executive order suspending all previous executive orders issued during the pandemic.
The Governor is also ending the states participation in the $300 federal COVID-19 benefits, due to the low number of unemployed Nebraskans. The program ends on June 19th.
Nebraska is tied for the lowest unemployment rate in the state at 2.8%, along with South Dakota and a few other states.
Iowa plans to end federal benefits on June 13th and South Dakota on June 26th.
The Iowa Department of Public Health reported no new deaths due to complications of COVID-19. There were only 55 new cases with one in Woodbury County. Currently there are no patients being treated solely for the illness in Sioux City.
