In a near party line vote, former President Donald Trump was acquitted by the U.S. Senate during an unprecedented second impeachment trial after Trump had already left office.
The vote of 57-43 fell 10 ballots short of the two-thirds necessary for conviction on charges that Trump incited a riot at the U.S. Capitol that left several dead in January. Seven Republicans voted to convict, per national media accounts.

Clackamas County s Transportation Maintenance Division strategic plan for a winter storm is months in the making. According to to Kimberly Dinwiddie, county public information officer, the county s plan takes historical data into consideration when triaging what stretches of road might cause the most headaches for travelers when snow and ice begin to build up.

Hernandez to resign, as we do not believe he can adequately maintain his duties as an elected official, the group said in an email on Monday, Feb. 8.
A legislative committee voted Friday, Feb. 5, to recommend the expulsion of Hernandez (D-47) from the Oregon House on multiple violations of a rule barring sexual harassment. As of Monday morning, an expulsion vote had not yet been scheduled.
