THE MP for Clwyd South has praised the incredible achievements of a group in his constituency who have delivered 48 Christmas hampers to vulnerable residents. Simon Baynes MP joined Glyntraian Helping Hands volunteers in a socially-distanced meeting at the Oliver Jones Memorial Hall in Dolywern on December 18 to congratulate them. The group is a voluntary one, set up in 2018 and supported by Glyntraian Community Council, which offers support for residents who are experiencing hardship. Congratulating the group, Simon Baynes MP said: Simon Baynes MP said: “It was an absolute pleasure to join the Helping Hands volunteers on Friday in a socially-distanced meeting. I congratulate them all on their incredible achievement – which is particularly heart-warming so close to Christmas when isolated residents need plenty of support. The Ceiriog Valley volunteers are a fine example of community spirit in action.”

On December 18, Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, Simon Baynes MP, joined Helping Hands volunteers in a socially-distanced meeting at the Oliver Jones Memorial Hall in Dolywern to congratulate them on the 48 Christmas hampers that they had prepared for vulnerable residents living locally. Glyntraian Helping Hands is a local voluntary group, supported by Glyntraian Community Council, which offers support for residents who are experiencing hardship. The group was set up in 2018, initially to provide Christmas food hampers for vulnerable residents, but has expanded its activities to provide year-round support.
