Lucky Go Fishing/Fish Bites tops ICAST Cup

Representing Lucky Go Fishing and Fish Bites, the team of Terrie Huffmaster, Tonya Michelle and Jackson Williams weighed in a five-bass limit totaling 25-10 to win the 2021 ICAST Cup at Florida s Lake Toho. The four-hour bass-fishing tournament, hosted by Kissimmee Sports, was the kick-off event to ICAST 2021 and raised a total of $11,000 to benefit the industrys angler advocacy program, Keep America Fishing.
The field totaled 55 boats, including handful of MLF Bass Pro Tour, Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit and Toyota Series anglers, as well as outdoor media and industry representatives from popular tackle brands and non-profits. In its five-year history, the charity tournament has raised more than $61,000 for Keep America Fishing.
MASSENA â With the first of six fishing tournaments in Massena under their belt, local tournament organizers want to hear about the impact on the community.
âThe folks who are organizing the series of fishing tournaments this summer in Massena are seeking input from area businesses to help determine the economic impact these great events are bringing to our community,â said James Murphy, executive director of the Massena Business Development Corporation.
The first tournament was the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour, considered the highest level of competitive fishing. A total of 80 anglers travel throughout the United States with Massena serving as the fifth stage of their seven-stage regular season in their quest to take home the top prize of $100,000.

Harrison s Jacob Wheeler Wins Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour General Tire Stage Five At St. Lawrence River Wednesday, June 30, 2021
After breaking nearly every major weight record on the Bass Pro Tour this week, Academy Sports + Outdoors pro Jacob Wheeler of Harrison, Tn., added another accolade to his resume Wednesday. Wheeler caught 35 scorable bass weighing 129 pounds even to earn his fourth career Bass Pro Tour victory – the most all-time – and the top prize of $100,000 at the Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour General Tire Stage 5 at the St. Lawrence River.
Among the Bass Pro Tour records that Wheeler set this week was the single-day heaviest weight – 165 pounds, 1 ounce, that he weighed on Day 1 – the heaviest two-day qualifying round weight – 222 pounds, 1 ounce – and the most weight ever weighed in a Championship Round – 129 pounds even – that he set Wednesday.
