It was heavy reading for the paper’s Sunday edition, particularly given the new dawn that was supposed to have been heralded by the inauguration of Joe Biden, but the facts in the piece were as true as they were newsworthy. For many decades, the authors noted, an ever-growing number of scientists had been warning that the exploitation of the planet’s resources would lead to societal collapse lately, they added, some of these scientists were suggesting that the collapse may have already begun.

Durban â KwaZulu-Natalâs fight against rhino poaching has been given a boost following the collaboration of private sector organisations and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife who have bandied together to establish a dog unit.
The recently established dog unit, known as HiP K9 Unit will operate inside Ezemveloâs Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park (HiP) that has been the scene gruesome poaching in recent years.
And already the unit has had success.
Since its inception six months ago, it has carried out numerous interventions which have resulted in three notable successes with three arrests and a number of poaching groups interrupted before they have poached a rhino.
