The event features a multi-agency Honor Guard and law enforcement officers from across Fond du Lac County will be in attendance.
In the city s history, two other police officers were killed in the line of duty. Officer William C. Prinslow was shot while attempting to apprehend three robbery suspects on Nov. 18, 1898. He died of his injuries the following day.
Officer Nick E. Klaske was shot while investigating a burglary on Oct. 29, 1961. He died of his injuries on Oct. 31.
Additionally, on March 24, 2015, Wisconsin State Trooper Trevor Casper was shot and killed in the city while attempting to apprehend a bank robbery and murder suspect.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - In continuation of National Police Week, the Forrest County Sheriffâs Office held a memorial ceremony Tuesday for those who were slain in uniform over the years.
Representatives from Forrest County Sheriff Office, the Hattiesburg Police Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol were present for the ceremony.
The service included the posting of the colors, placing of the wreath and prayer led by Chaplain Scott Murphy.
