The Alabama Department of Corrections confirmed another two deaths inside its state prisons this week.
John Wilson, 27, died in St. Clair Correctional Facility on Monday, July 19. Tracy Besselaar, 56, died at Fountain Correctional Facility the same day.
ADOC confirmed the deaths after the Montgomery Advertiser received tips about the fatalities but would not release a cause of death pending a complete investigation.
The fatalities are among at least 10 known deaths within Alabama prisons in July.
The U.S. Department of Justice is pursuing a lawsuit against the state and ADOC over widespread violence, mismanagement and staff abuses in its men s prisons around the state.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The story of Lloyd Warner is one that uncovers a dark chapter, not just in St. Joseph, but across the nation between 1865 and 1950. We understand there were over 6,000 lynchings in the United States, Loes Hedge, committee member, St. Joseph Black Archive Museum said.
At least 60 of those lynchings happened in Missouri, including Warner s near the intersection of 5th and Jules St.
