REIDSVILLE, N.C. So many people were impacted by the weekend ice storm. Sitting in the dark, many turned to candles for light.
But for one Reidsville family, that candle light turned their family s life upside down.
The Cranford house was one of thousands that lost power in our area this past weekend.
As many celebrated valentine s Day and the return of power across the Triad, the Cranford s were left picking up the pieces of their life.
Damaged police van and Crummock Grove A MAN pelleted a police van with a rock as officers tried to break up party-goers breaching coronavirus lockdown rules. After smashing the windscreen of the van parked on Crummock Grove, Ashley Howarth tried to flee by throwing himself over a fence into a nearby garden. But he was caught after officers Tazered him and at Bolton Magistrates Court the 33-year-old was fined £100 and ordered to pay Greater Manchester Police £500 for the damaged van. Police van damaged in Crummock Grove Janice Vallancee, prosecuting, told how police were called to Crummock Grove, Farnworth, at 10pm on August 22 last year where a party was in full swing with around 50 people, including Howarth, present.
Litchfield Performing Arts is planning two jazz-themed events in the coming months.
First up is a livestream, “Litchfield Jazz Presents: Chad LB Quartet,” on Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is part of a series livestreamed from the Telefunken soundstage in South Windsor.

The Chad LB Quartet will feature Chad Lefkowitz-Brown on saxophone, Steven Feifke on piano, Dan Chmielinski on bass and Bryan Carter on drums.
The free performance will be available on Facebook Live as well as YouTube and Twitter.
