Taking action on climate change

MidCoast Council Plans for a solar farm on a landfill site, the development of a sustainability and education centre and a move to electric fleet vehicles are amongst the future projects flagged by MidCoast Council as part of a climate change action plan currently on public exhibition. These plans, and others, are explained in a video available via Council’s YouTube channel or on the Council’s website. The community has until 12 March to provide feedback on Council’s first climate change policy and strategy. The first stage of Council’s plan for climate action focuses on the activities that Council can take, with future stages to look at how the community can become more adaptable and sustainable.
