Council thanks community post Corowa Aquatic engagement sessions
Federation Council has expressed its sincere gratitude to the community members that engaged with Council at the four different community meetings held in Morundah, Urana, Corowa and Mulwala last week.
The community meeting sessions provided residents with the opportunity to engage with Council and better understand the eagerly anticipated new Corowa Aquatic Centre, expected to open in April 2021. The meetings also allowed Council to consult and engage, on how a Special Rate Variation works and why Council is pursuing this as an option to help fund the operational costs and ongoing asset life cost of the Corowa Aquatic Centre.

New Chapter Court plans lodged as long awaited town centre regeneration development progresses
A new chapter could soon begin in Wrexham town centre after ambitious plans to create a new retail and leisure facility have progressed further.
The ‘Chapter Court’ scheme proposes the redevelopment of the block of shops in the Argyle Street, Queens Square, Queens Street and Hope Street area.
Described by the applicants as a “micro retail and micro food court”, the development aims to “attract national high street retailers back to the original end of town and attract smaller, more independent local businesses.”
It is hoped the space will also become home to the the “‘go-to’ places to eat and drink and with the development of the court yard that can host year round events will offer customers a new, cultural shopping and leisure experience giving them a reason for return visits.”
Coronavirus cancels Knights of Columbus events for 2021
FAIRBORN The Fairborn Council 3724 of the Knights of Columbus have cancelled several of their yearly events for 2021. The Grand Knight & Council Officers voted to cancel several events due to the COVID-19 virus & the Ohio limitations on mass gatherings.
The cancellations include the annual Ladies’ Night Dinner, held the Saturday before Mother’s Day, the Knight of the Year Dinner, held the evening before Father’s Day, and the Blue Coat Awards.
Typically during the Blue Coat Awards, the Council hosts a dinner to recognize the first responders and outstanding citizens in the surrounding community. This year, however, the dinner has once again been cancelled.
Planning errors Haringey are they common?
I don t know others experiences, but wondered if mistakes are not that unusual? I know someone whose flat was refused loft conversion planning because it was in a conservation area- only it isn t in a conservation area. Took ages and huge stress to sort it out and only was resolved with the involvement of an external planning professional to do the negotiation. All for a flat that wasn t in a prohibited area at all and was in a row of houses with existing conversions.

Rotten luck! Let it out to cover your costs until you sell the flat, maybe to the Chicken Shop owners?
