1:10 Lane County will have ample amounts of COVID-19 vaccine available this week to be administered through mobile, small and mass vax clinics. Appointments may be made but walk ups are welcome this weekend at the Lane Events Center and Autzen Stadium. 26,700 doses will be made available to Lane County this week by the Oregon Health Authority. The bump comes after recent pleas from county officials for more vaccine to be sent to the region.
Public Health will hold two mass vax clinics this weekend for anyone 16 or older. Appointments can still be made but walk ups are also welcome.

Springfield School Board has three seats up for election and nine candidates who would like to hold those positions.

The only uncontested seat is held by Emilio Hernandez Jr. who is seeking re-election for his second term.
The current board member for Position 3 is not seeking re-election. The candidates looking to fill this seat are:
Steven Hadley, who graduated from University of Oregon and is Global Director of Quality Assurance for ABCAM.
Brandy Crosby, who is a Journeyman Electrician.
Anthony Reed is a Journeyman Carpenter and was a delegate at the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters.

Three of the four seats up for election on the Lane Community College Board have the potential to be held by someone who has never served on the Board before.

Two candidates are running uncontested. Austin Folnagy is seeking his first term on the board as the Zone 4 representative. Mike Eyster has served on the board since 2017 and is seeking re-election.
Incumbent Holli Johnson has two challengers. Thomas Jennings who works as an electrician. And Mark Boren who works for Lane Fire Authority and is current Board Chair for Fern Ridge School District.
