A Sandusky man and his passenger were extricated from a vehicle following a weekend crash in Sanilac County’s Watertown Township. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV heading westbound on Miller Road left the roadway around 7am Saturday morning, entered a ditch, and then struck a tree. The driver, a 29 year old Sandusky man and his passenger, a 28 year old man from DeWitt, had to be freed from the vehicle by the Sandusky Fire Department by using the Jaws of Life. The two were taken to an area hospital for treatment and investigators say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
