Taipei, Feb. 9 (CNA) The Taiwan Statebuilding Party on Tuesday called on the government to strengthen its oversight of internet-connected appliances, warning that security flaws in products including robotic vacuum cleaners could leave them vulnerable to Chinese hackers.
At a press conference, members of the small pro-independence party said that to tackle the problem, the government should begin labeling products with strong data security protections and clamp down on those of unclear origin.
