Lawmakers declared themselves safe Nearly all of the state s delegation publicly declared they were safe, including Reps. Antonio Delgado, D-Rhinebeck, Dutchess County; Nicole Malliotakis, R-Staten Island; Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, Saratoga County; and Joseph Morelle, D-Irondequoit, Monroe County. My staff and I are safe, Delgado posted. We are grateful for the brave Capitol Police officers who are doing everything they can to keep everyone safe. I m praying for our country. Schmitt this week presented the highest State Assembly honor to Watt Christmas Wonderland for 15 years in operation. John Watt, creator of Watt Christmas Wonderland, began decorating his mother’s house more than years ago. Each year, the display would get bigger until he moved it to his house in Goshen and opened Watt Christmas Wonderland to the public in 2005. Over the past 15 years, Watt Christmas Wonderland has become a staple holiday attraction to the community.

For December, Schmitt is recognizing Valkyrie Coffee Roasters, located at 23 Main St., Chester. Valkyrie Coffee Roasters is owned by roast master Dakota Rudolph. “With such a difficult year coming to a close, it is inspiring to see Dakota and his team persevering to serve the community in a positive way,” Schmitt said in the press release announcing the small business of the month selection. “Dakota has built a wonderful small business that attracts coffee and tea drinkers from around the area to enjoy everything this region has to offer.”
