Thousands of people have been impacted greatly by the COVID-19 pandemic; from physical and mental health issues, problems with schooling and finances.
The City of Columbus is partnering with LSS 211 and the Legal Aid Society of Columbus to help people manage their money with their new Financial Navigator Program.
For those within the city worried about their finances during the pandemic, Financial Navigators are available for free, 15 to 20-minute sessions to help people get back on their feet.

More than two months later, she remains in her apartment and is on the verge of having her back rent paid by IMPACT Community Action, a nonprofit group that is distributing Franklin County s share of coronavirus stimulus money, approved by Congress, for rental assistance.
But until the money comes through and her eviction case is dismissed in Franklin County Municipal Court, Hawkins worries about being forced from her home in the midst of a pandemic that has left her jobless.
Columbus gets $500,000 to help residents seal criminal records
The Columbus City Council is often on the side of giving government grants to private organizations. Monday, it was on the receiving end of a $500,000 private grant to help residents work through the process of sealing criminal records.
The grant from the Alliance for the American Dream, a competitive grant program founded by Schmidt Futures, will be used to fund Opportunity Port, an online portal that will provide applicants with access to legal expertise to guide them through the process of sealing certain records.
There are potentially hundreds of thousands of people just in Franklin County who potentially could qualify to have court cases sealed, a process that we know is cumbersome to many in our community, said Councilman Rob Dorans.
