1100 Fowler
A watch, three gold rings, and a diamond gold bracelet, with a total value in excess of $10,000, was reported missing in a theft from a home in the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. today.
1900 Sherman
Miscellaneous clothing was reported missing in a theft from a home in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue between June 6 and 7:35 a.m. today.
2300 Cowper
A catalytic converter was removed from a 2009 Honda in the 2300 block of Cowper Avenue between 3 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
2500 Lawndale
A catalytic converter was removed from a 2009 Honda in the 2500 block of Lawndale Avenue between 11:59 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
Sun-Times file
A 29-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday after getting into an argument in Lawndale on the West Side.
About 10:20 p.m., he was sitting inside his vehicle in the 2800 block of West Polk Street, when a male he had been arguing with walked up to him and fired shots, Chicago police said.
The man was struck in the head, chest, shoulder, and arm, police said. He was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as Cedric Hunter Jr.

By using the galleries as public-facing studio spaces, each artist shares their unique process with visitors, who will be able to see the artists ideas and research take shape as the residency unfolds.
