TWO Bolton-born brothers have made a £2m investment to achieve their vision of creating a ‘business quarter’ in the town centre - and they are launching a recruitment drive. Adam Pope, director of Spencer Churchill Law Ltd and his brother Dom, who runs digital marketing firm Own Your Space, have pumped the cash into the former Bolton Business Centre building on Lower Bridgeman Street. Having bought the site in 2017, it’s now been transformed into a state-of-the-art business hub, named the Assembly Rooms. Both brothers, originally from Lostock, operate their companies from the grade II listed building and plan on using the remaining space to offer networking and training events for other Bolton-based businesses.
The controversial chairman of the National Trust has resigned amid a growing revolt among members over his woke policies.
Tim Parker s decision to quit was announced just 24 hours after a highly critical motion at this year s AGM said the membership had no confidence in his leadership and demanded his resignation.
Members, ministers and MPs had grown increasingly frustrated with Mr Parker s chairmanship, which critics said he used to take the 126-year-old charity in a politically correct direction.
Last September, the Trust published an sensational 115-page report which blacklisted 93 of its estates over their alleged links to slavery - including Chartwell in Kent, home of Sir Winston Churchill.
