Foundation announces 2021 Academic All-State scholarships

The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has announced the recipients of its prestigious 2021 Academic All-State Awards. These 100 top public high school seniors, selected from 379 nominations statewide, hail from 77 schools in 69 Oklahoma school districts.
Those selected in Pottawatomie County include Noah Drew from Bethel High School, Jared Stone from Chandler High School and Olivia Todd from Shawnee High School.
The 2021 Academic All-State class is the 35th to be selected by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. Since the award program’s inception in 1987, some 3,500 high school seniors from 330 school districts have been named Academic All-State scholars. Four high schools will celebrate their first Academic All-Stater: Davenport, Porum, Soper and Stigler high schools.

OKLAHOMA CITY â The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has announced the recipients of its prestigious 2021 Academic All-State Awards. These 100 top public high school seniors, selected from 379 nominations, hail from 77 schools in 69 school districts.
The 2021 Academic All-State class is the 35th to be selected by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence.
Each of this yearâs All-Staters will receive a $1,000 merit-based scholarship and a medallion. The All-Staters will be recognized at the foundationâs 35th annual Academic Awards Celebration on May 22 at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa.
Students must meet one of the following criteria: an American College Test composite score of at least 30; a combined SAT evidence-based reading & writing and math score of at least 1370; or be selected as a semi-finalist for a National Merit, National Achievement or National Hispanic Scholarship. BPS Begins Transition to New District Website, App
Bartlesville Public Schools has begun its transition to a new district website and mobile app. Superintendent Chuck McCauley said the change includes new sites for each of the district schools. He said this change does not affect the BPSLEARN.com site for Distance Learning. The new mobile app was made to help simplify information for students and parents. McCauley said they had a ton of great information on the district s website, but it was a lot to get through. He said they wanted to make the information more disgestible.

Renovations in Progress at BPS Education Service Center
Garrett Giles Renovations are taking place at Bartlesville Public School s Education Service Center located at 1100 SW Jennings Avenue. Bartlesville Superintendent Chuck McCauley said this is taking place because the district needs to relocate its Technology Department from the former Will Rogers Building along Frank Phillips Boulevard. He said Paths to Independence used to rent the building from the district, but PTI has since purchased the building so they can expand, causing BPS to move its Technology Department. Rick Scott Construction is doing the work for Bartlesville Public Schools. Superintendent McCauley said they re on schedule to complete the renovations at the Education Service Center before May 2021. He said the district will hopefully make the transition of its servers in June.
