Littleton candidates night set Wicked Local LITTLETON The Rotary Club of Littleton will host a forum for candidates running for Littleton municipal offices in the May 8 municipal election. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the forum will held virtually. The forum, dubbed a Candidates Night, will take place April 20, 7 p.m.  Town ModeratorTim Goddard, Town Moderator, will moderate the event. This year features three contests:  Two candidates for one position on the Littleton Select Board, incumbent Chuck DeCoste and Christine Nordhaus; Three candidates for two positions on  the School Committee, incumbent  Justin McCarthy, Jennifer Gold and Jennifer Ann Wilson …. Littleton board set to back Amazon pact; traffic concerns remain

The Planning Board s approval on Jan. 7 of a special permit hinges on approval of the host community agreement. The plan calls for a last-mile facility, for deliveries within a 45-mile radius. The site formerly housed Digital Equipment Corp. I think we came out of it with a better design than what we came in with, said Larry Beals, the project s planning engineer.  Traffic concerns Select Board member Matthew Nordhaus praised the pact, but said, My concern is and I ve been hearing from residents a great deal is traffic. People are extremely worried about local streets being overrun. Traffic on Foster or Taylor streets would mainly be for delivery of packages locally, with signs posted to remind drivers to take a left turn only unless for local deliveries.
