Vincent Muscat, one of the three men who were accused of assassinating investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia in 2017 in Malta was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty.
Muscat admitted involvement in the car bombing that killed the reporter, which many believes to be ordered by top Malta establishment figures.
Known as the one-woman Wikileaks , Galizia uncovered networks of corruption in the country and abroad.
In a dramatic turn of events, Muscat changed his plea and agreed to provide information about the murder. He must also pay €42,000 ($51,000; £36,300) in court expenses.
The other two defendants brothers George and Alfred Degiorgio who were present in the courtroom did not speak.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police say an 8-year-old and a 9-month-old who were reported missing in North Carolina Friday night were found safe.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department Youth Services Unit were requesting the public’s help to find the two children, who officials said at the time may be have been endangered.
Police said on Friday they were possibly with their mother, but detectives were unable to contact her. Later Friday night, police said the mother and the children were found safe.

Arambagh Krira Sangha and Brothers Union were asked for explanations by the Fixed Match Detection Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation as they found some uncharacteristic behaviours from both sides during the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League.
The BFF subcommittee sent official letters to these clubs asking explanations for five matches of the ongoing BPL on Friday.
These matches are - Brothers VS Dhaka Abahani Ltd on January 19, Bashundhara Kings VS Brothers on January 23, Arambagh VS Mohammedan SC Ltd on January 17, Sheikh Russel KC VS Arambagh on February 9 and Dhaka Abahani VS Arambagh on February 13.
