California Mid-State Fair is back | NewsChannel 3-12

PASO ROBLES, Calif. - The California Mid-State Fair will return in 2021. The 75th edition of the fair will be held at the Paso Robles Event Center Wednesday, July 21 through Sunday, August 1. Fair organizers said the event, which brings thousands of visitors to the Central Coast, will follow all COVID-19 regulations and safety precautions. The fair could also see limited capacity depending on local guidelines, organizers said. “We are truly grateful that we can once again invite our community to celebrate one of the great traditions of our area. From the entire staff and Board of Directors, we can’t wait to see you,” said interim CEO Colleen Bojorquez.

Mid-State Fair happening as scheduled

–The Paso Robles Event Center on Monday announced that the 2021 California Mid-State Fair is happening as scheduled. This year will be the 75th edition of the fair, full of animals, agriculture, live performances, carnival rides, shopping, exhibits, and food, all happening July 21- Aug. 1, 2021. The fair will be following all state and local health mandates regarding COVID-19. It is also reportedly possible that certain attractions will need to have reduced capacity, depending on state and local health guidelines in place at the time of the 2021 fair. Fairgoers will need to check the website before arriving for the most up-to-date information.

Registration now open for Mid-State Fair commercial competitions

–The California Mid-State Fair is now accepting entries for the commercial competitions including the California Craft Spirits Competition, Central Coast Vinegar Competition, and the Central Coast Wine Competition. Each one will take place in June and follow all health and safety protocols. The Central Coast Wine Competition, hosted annually by the California Mid-State Fair and presented by SLO Life Magazine and American General Media, promotes the quality and diversity of commercial wineries while recognizing the fastest growing wine region in California. The Central Coast Vinegar Competition provides a venue for vinegars to be professionally judged with the goal to educate consumers regarding the quantity and styles of vinegar produced in the USA.
